Interesting survey from Rasmussen. I would have thought it would be higher.

congress worked great 200 years ago...we have computers now...instant contact and information...as well as voting capabilities for all. There are computers in every public library...we as a nation of workers who support this country get screwed left and right by the left and right....where does this bipartisan government really take us...in a big circle. We are intelligent people with different views...let's stop pretending that 1 person in congress speaks accurately for every 500,000 of us...we are being had by our government and it's time we take it back....OF THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE! GO UNITED STATES!
It is now closer to 1 person in congress for 700,000 citizens. Although the number of citizens in each congressional district must be close for districts within each state, the differences between states can be large. A law suit, Clemons v. Department of Commerce, now pending before the Supreme Court, is seeking a reapportionment of the House of Representatives to rectify this situation. Two plans are proposed; one would bring the number of representatives in congress to 1,761 and would result in 1 person in congress for roughly 160,000 citizents while the other would bring the number of representatives to 932, with roughly 300,000 citizens per congressional district. (See www.apportionment.us for news about this.)
