In an SEC filing, NiSource said the company and Columbia were served with grand jury subpoenas on Sept. 24. NiSource did not disclose the nature of the criminal investigation, but the subpoenas came less than two weeks after an over pressurized gas line killed one, injured many others and caused dozens of fires and explosions.
